Interesting. I'll have to dig deeper to see exactly how many coins were in circulation at the time. It could have very well been more than $2 million (that would be impressive if it was over $100M)

I've noticed a pattern of crypto flash crashes lately. They all precede China Evergrande bond payment deadlines. Next payment is due this Saturday. Pure conjecture / correlation so far.
Still it's interesting, considering the global shortage of dollars. How are they getting $?

Good question! I think it is worth setting up an ingest on Pushshift to monitor all crypto prices and set up API endpoints for people to use to track price movements.
