If someone hands you a gun and says it is not loaded, that does not free you of responsibility. You are always taught to check & double check to see if a round is in the chamber. The person pulling the trigger is always responsible. So yes involuntary manslaughter.

"If someone hands you a gun and says it is not loaded, that does not free you of responsibility." On a movie set, that is exactly how it should happen. They pay gun professionals money to make sure the gun is in a specific condition when handed to the talent.

It is not how gun safety is taught. Many actors have come out and said differently. That the gun professional opens the gun barrel in front of them and shows them there is no round in the chamber. That is how it is supposed to happen. They are able to verify it themselves
