2/ So they’re prepping for a shot, lining up angles etc. That’s why DP and director are right there. Assistant director grabs gun from cart, tells Baldwin it’s “cold”, not loaded. He’s practicing unholstering it for the scene, second time he does this is fires.

Just to clear up some confusion:
"Live round" in industry means blanks. Dave Halls was the AD that handed the gun to Alec. Dave Halls also worked on the sequel to the Crow movie (where Brandon Lee was killed).

Thats a little misleading in itself. Lee died during filming of the original Crow movie. Your tweet could be read as Hall has worked on two movies with fatalities. Which he hasn't.

I've heard that genuine standard ? rounds are sometimes used, carefully of course, to show realistic recoil. (Of course would not be for this shot or test!) Some speculate that an idiot just went shooting for fun and left a full round in the gun.
