Gun owners on Twitter -- what does "live round" mean when they report a "live round" was loaded in the prop? Can a blank be called a live round?

Most gun owners have probably never touched a blank before. They aren’t common
For normal gun owners, all rounds are live rounds
In the context of a production, I could see “live round” being used in the context of “this is a real blank, not a prop bullet”

A piece of decoration, not something that has gunpowder in it like a blank. If you put one into a gun and pulled the trigger, nothing would happen

Thanks for clarifying! So it looks like there is going to be a lot of confusion among the public as to what type of bullet was actually chambered.
