Regarding Pushshift removal requests -- we are working on the ability for Reddit users to use Oauth to sign in to Pushshift to process their own removal requests and also to opt out of future data gathering. I just want people to know that we do take these requests seriously.

If your Reddit account was deactivated and you make a request for removal for that account, we will still accommodate you and honor your request. We have no way to prove the account was yours, so we rely on the honor system and will still process the removal request.

With that said, there is room for people to abuse this so if someone makes a request that hundreds of accounts be removed, we would need to investigate a bit to make sure the removal request isn't fraudulent.
