Does anyone have an estimate on what percentage of all Youtube videos that are uploaded are only viewed a few times? My gut feeling is that this number is well over 95% of all videos uploaded.

As there are hundreds of hours of content uploaded to YouTube every minute I’m going to guess it’s 99%

Social phenomenon: It’s going to be a majority of them (although bots might do something odd).

I visited a ton of random video ids while doing a research project and was surprised at how many videos seemed to be automatically or bulk uploaded from people’s cameras or phones even though the videos were surfaced by the YT search algo. I’d also guess closer to 99%

Yeah I'd suspect it's a power law. I wouldn't be surprised if 95%+ videos are only viewed once, or only viewed by the creator.
