It amazes me that the standard Ubuntu install still reserves 5% of the main disk for root. A 2TB SSD has around 100 gigabytes reserved. tune2fs -m .1 /dev/sda is like getting free extra space. 5% made sense back when HDs were a few gigabytes but now?
