I haven't been to a conference or traveled to meet friends / researchers at universities in over a year because of this damn pandemic. It is really aggravating.

My other work in the convention scene has all but ceased. No book promos, no talks, tours, or any other gatherings. Some cons won't make it. Others are going virtual, which means I get to see things I wouldn't have gotten to before. Some silver linings.

How many events / conferences / cons did you normally attend on average each year?

At my peak, 18. I "slowed down" to about 6 to 8, but Candy has her business as well which is as good as dead at this point. Many other artists are also in hibernation because their storage is their basement. Twitch is helping a few.
