Yep! When did that become popular? That was back in the early 2000's wasn't it? I remember a lot of guys were basically using it as a bible to get laid. Kind of sad but the whole "fake it until you make it" and "its a numbers game" really sat well with a lot of young adults.

Wow time goes by so quickly. I remember one of the terms called "negging / neg" -- when you give an underhanded compliment like, "that's really nice hair you have, is it real?"
There is a Youtube video that really highlighted the culture. I'll have to find it and link you to it

It went mainstream in early 2007 iirc, and time does fly. It's because of the pickup scene that I learned that MRAs exist. And I distinctly remember thinking/hoping at the time that MRAs would eventually fade away to irrelevance.
Goodness that was naïve of me.

Amen Casey! Ultimately a lot of the teachings from that "philosophy of courting women" teaches men to objectify women and treat them as some sort of singular collective where all women think and want the same things. There are a lot of beautiful experiences to be had for young

adults to learn through trial and error what type of person ultimately makes them happy in life. Reading a book on how to get laid might actually get a guy laid, but the experiences are ultimately empty and meaningless compared to truly wanting to explore relationships and
understanding your own needs and desires as a person.
