Yep! When did that become popular? That was back in the early 2000's wasn't it? I remember a lot of guys were basically using it as a bible to get laid. Kind of sad but the whole "fake it until you make it" and "its a numbers game" really sat well with a lot of young adults.

Wow time goes by so quickly. I remember one of the terms called "negging / neg" -- when you give an underhanded compliment like, "that's really nice hair you have, is it real?" There is a Youtube video that really highlighted the culture. I'll have to find it and link you to it

It went mainstream in early 2007 iirc, and time does fly. It's because of the pickup scene that I learned that MRAs exist. And I distinctly remember thinking/hoping at the time that MRAs would eventually fade away to irrelevance. Goodness that was naïve of me.
