I think there is a chance Trump may resign.
1) It would enable him to strike a deal with Pence for a proper pardon.
2) It may prevent another impeachment with conviction where he would lose the chance to hold office again and might lose his security detail.

He is too stubborn, plus they can't pardon him for something that he hasn't been charged with yet but there are going to be lots of investigations (I hope) started on the 21st.
