Would any researchers be interested in getting a full day's worth of tweet ids that they can rehydrate to get a data on what a day in the life of Twitter looks like?
In order to abide by Twitter's TOS, this would have to be for research purposes. I would only be able to provide

Yes! Even if not re-hydrating all of them, it may be a great way to sample and build a benchmark of what a random tweet (and tweeter) look like.

Ok, I will create a dump for a day in October and I should have the dump available in a day or two.

Great thank you! Should I get in touch via email or will you connect here once the dump is ready?

I'll connect here. I'm checking the TOS to see if I can add some supplemental data. So far, it looks like I can as long as I don't include the tweet text or user info.
This is what I'm planning to dump:
1317979170643841025,pt,1,0,0,0,1,0,58
1317979170643857409,en,0,1,0,0,4,0,49
