Who was it that said if you can't explain a topic to a five year old in a way they can understand, you don't know it well enough?
Sounds like a paraphrase of the physicist Richard Feynman who had views akin to that. Feynman is quotable and misquoted probably in equal measure. :) I'm pretty sure I read a lecture of his where he said something like that. Fortunately, Michael knows these subjects that well. :)

I thought it was either Einstein or Feynman but I believe you are correct.
