A very bad look for Facebook - wsj.com/articles/faceb. Understanding how political ads are targeted on FB is of public and academic interest. And recruiting volunteers to donate data is a responsible way to get this data. We need a safe harbor for researchers.

data from social media platforms and make that data available to researchers because I strongly believe that transparent access to that data for researchers ultimately makes our society safer and helps all of us better understand both the positive and detrimental aspects
