Anyone here old enough to remember when we had 10Mbps networks and switches and then 100Mbps came out and we were blown away at the speed of sending a whopping 10 megabytes per second over the network?

I'm old enough to remember getting a 56k modem and it blowing my mind.

Yeah the speed difference was immense. I went from 2400 -> 14.4 -> 57.6

I made a stopover at 9600. That was awesome. And 28.8. Also awesome. I remember buying an external 56k modem. Then we got DSL and it was too good to be true.
