Progressive rock? Do people consider experimental rock its own category?

Experimental rock might be closest, but I'm not sure how to include almost all his albums (Project and solo) are thematic. And they're sound engineering masterpieces.
(in full disclosure I own like 7 albums lol)

Which album would you consider to be your favorite?
Overall, I probably have to go with Tales of Mystery and Imagination, partly for how good it is, esp considering the tech.
Thematic, "On Air"
Listens to the most, "A Valid Path" - serious electronica
Kat likes "The Secret" (his latest) a lot. The Sorcerer's Apprentice is solid /

One could also make an argument for "Dark Side of the Moon" ;)
Oh, and I think Prog Rock is better in retrospect.
