Yesterday my mother said the sun looked strange and that the reason why was due to the fires out west. I explained to her that the sun rises in the east so the fires out west shouldn't affect our sunrises. Lo' and behold, I was wrong and she was right!

The sun lately has looked very different than usual. Yesterday morning it appeared to be like a crystal devoid of color. This morning it looks like a deep shade of orange with some red hues.
