Hey -- just want to say hi and thank you and the rest of the wonderful Elastic team for making such amazing products. Pushshift wouldn't be possible without Elasticsearch. Currently have over 25 billion objects indexed across 12 nodes.

I don't think we've made a public announcement about the timeline for version 8.0. Will confirm and report back.

A couple of questions if you don't mind.
Do you ever use Kibana?
What capabilities do you want to see supported in the stack?
Do you ever work with geospatial data or maps?
I must admit, I smile each time I read "JSON Baumgartner"; I picture you as a hockey player/hacker hybrid.

1/ We do use Kibana! Right now, it would be awesome to get more features and support for managing a cluster. More admin tools to deal with issues such as failed shards or problematic nodes would be super useful.
We do use geospatial data types in many of our mappings.

2/ There are some great plug-ins that should probably be merged into the main product (icu analyzer). One of the painful issues with updating to new minor versions is that we often have to uninstall plugins and then re-install them before the new version node can be restarted. It

3/ would be really nice if there was a more automated method of handling this (especially if you have a lot of plugins in use). Perhaps some sort of global re-install of plugins when doing a version upgrade where we wouldn't have to manually uninstall / reinstall each one.
(Also thanks RE: JSON name. I use json / ndjson so much that it just felt natural to use json as my first name :)
