I have to give credit to / for being open and transparent about the hack they experienced on Wednesday.
Although the hack itself was bad, it is good to see Twitter being transparent as they discover more about the hack.

What's especially interesting about this particular hack is that the attackers used the age old method of "social engineering" to gain additional access to internal Twitter tools.

persuade, influence and convince another person that you are someone that you aren't in order to gain their trust to gain access to normally restricted systems / areas / etc. Any company or organization can fall victim to these type of attacks.
