Coming up with a theory and then going through massive amounts of data to support it while throwing out data that does not is not science but apparently that's exactly what people do when giving birth to conspiracy theories.

I swear that conspiracy theories (a simple, fictional story from cherry-picked data) is startlingly similar to mode collapse in GANs (a single pattern, pulled from noise) that satisfies the discriminator. There's a basic theory in there somewhere
