I will be releasing a data dump of ~100 million #reddit users that include the account creation date and karma amounts (for posts and comments). If you use Reddit data for your research, this data set will give you additional metadata that may help you.

Good question! I felt the data fields included here were very basic and didn't include any real PII. The data dump will basically consist of the account creation date and karma levels. This is data that is already openly available via Reddit. I am basically consolidating the data

This is something we struggle with, too. The GDPR grants exceptions for research and journalism concerning how & when to inform about access to data.

Pushshift does honor removal requests when people request their data be removed from the API. We try to be as ethically and morally guided as possible in our approach to data with the understanding that the data can benefit researchers and society for the greater good.
