Wait -- does Youtube not have the exact timestamp for comments anywhere in the HTML return?? Just things like "3 months ago?"

they probably use a "timeago" thingy to change from the actual timestamp. Whether or not it's done client side is what I don't know.

Hmm I didn't think about that. Doesn't Chrome console show HTML before it's changed by JS or no?

iirc, it shows the current DOM state. As one of the responses to your original tweet mentioned, their API might be better. The road of "disable JavaScript" leads to hell.
