At approximately 12:35am ET, #reddit's database suddenly skipped ~48 million ids ahead for some unknown reason.
The comment ids skipped from somewhere around 34452008981 to somewhere around 34500000081.

Something appears to have gone horribly wrong with Reddit's DB ID scheme and this will break a lot of people's ingests. So if you are ingesting Reddit data and it suddenly broke -- this is why.

The ingest works by asking for ids in a sequential fashion. If there is suddenly millions of missing ids, it will walk across a dead zone for hours / days.
