We have lightning detection capabilities over much of the Earth. I wonder if anyone has looked at the overall energy from lightning strikes since the 1990's to see if climate change has increased the frequency / energy of lightning strikes worldwide (averaged out per month, etc.)

Technically, oxygen doesn't even burn. It's an oxidizer -- it still needs fuel to create an explosion.
