With many more layoffs coming, Congress needs to pass immediate, strong and widespread financial relief for all Americans affected by shutdowns. Temporary UBI for all Americans with child bonuses, increased unemployment benefits, and permanent mandatory health and family leave.

I wrote this to my representatives yesterday. I see this as an unprecedented crisis. Everything is halting practically at once with very little warning. Action needs to be taken now. It’s urgent.
