Might be a noob question, but doctors are claiming tht coronavirus mortality rate is low and mostly people with less immunity or old people cases are critical, (which seems in sync with India’s data). But howcome so many people are dying in Italy?

If you're comparing deaths to detected cases, keep in mind that far more people will actually be infected than have been detected, so the percentage of death will appear inflated if based against the known infected.
