I agree with 3 -- which might be a galaxy ending event. I think the sun turning off for two weeks wouldn't be too bad (as long as the mass is still there).

Because if you removed all of the electrons from everything within a light year, you'd end up with extremely positively charged objects that would tend to explode violently.
Oh okay. I understood within as the shell not the ball. The shell won't be as much of a problem.
