Pushshift is experimenting with using #wasabi (David Friend created this company several years ago). So far, our experiences with Wasabi have been excellent! The response times and bandwidth has not been a limiting factor at all.

One of the largest headaches with using Amazon S3 buckets is the egress fees when retrieving data. Wasabi has unlimited egress so calculating backup storage costs should be far simpler with this type of pricing model.
