#reddit's ever growing SPAM issue. Over the past three days, 20 out of the top 25 most active subreddits (by comment volume) have been all SPAM.
There is currently more comment SPAM hitting #reddit than actual non-spam comments -- sometimes causing site traffic to spike 4x.
This should not be a difficult engineering problem to solve. One solution would be to rate-limit the number of comments an account can make to a subreddit when that account is a moderator of that subreddit.
