I'm going to be brutally honest -- I have not written a bash script in ages. I usually just do it in Python. If I ever ended up on a box with just bash and no Python I'd probably be screwed.

That's really interesting because I find Python easier to write quickly than Bash. Different strokes I guess -- but I do admire a good bash script.
