California's PGE is a perfect example of an inept company that does not adequately maintain their infrastructure and is overseen by a public utilities commission staffed by ex-corporate energy officials. We should not have to shut power off to millions in the 21'st century.

this started 20y+ ago with the 40B loss to enron when Pete Wilson and Gray Davis deregulated energy. That money for capex went to wall street.

I just feel really bad for the people who will lose power for what might be days. This will cause real economic losses and endanger people's lives.
