Creepy.
I went to a multi story mall a while back, went to a clothing store that was on the 2/3rd floor. On the train on my way home, my phone asked me if I wanted to recommend the store.

I googled this a while back. Apparently it uses the id's of wifi access points and the strength of those signals to estimate where you are.
