Every now and then I get: attempt to decode JSON with unexpected mimetype: text/html. I declare application/JSON in the headers - is there an easy fix? Using aiohttp as standard. Sorry for lack of info, wouldn't know where to start

"unexpected mimetype: text/html" -- I'm not sure how you're getting that or what request you're making to get that. Are you getting a status code 200 with it? What's the actual content returned? Is it JSON?

I think it might be me not correctly handling the rate limit error actually, sorry! Although my request rate is definitely below 2/s. Currently batched of 6 async requests every 3s - is 6 too much concurrently?

No but you might occasionally be triggering a rate limit response so that's probably where you are seeing that.
