Can anyone explain to me why I use Twitter? Why any of us use Twitter? (This morning's feed is worse than usual.)

Popehat and someone were going at it this morning and it was ugly and I thought "when I have RL friends who behave like that, I delete their numbers." We are letting vileness into our brains that we otherwise wouldn't....

You know, you have just reminded me of something I was wondering a whike back. How much energy are we using on a daily basis to filter out all the negativity on social media.
Sometimes it just feels exhausting.
