I removed my tweet showing some accounts that may have been heavily involved in amplifying disinformation yesterday due to doxing concerns on those accounts.
Better to take the high road even if one feels strongly about what they're attempting to do.

Do you have thoughts on how to balance (a) the potential harms of shining attention on individual accounts vs (b) the imperative to identify coordinated perturbations to the network / innoculate against disinformation? Thank you for your amazing work in this space

That's a great question. I think there is a balance somewhere but one very important aspect is doing the due diligence to make sure accounts are indeed bots or true disinformation accounts before posting them. Most in that list had a high likelihood of being one or the other but
... there was the chance that one of the accounts may have ended up on the list for other reasons so I felt it prudent to pull it before I could do more analysis. FYI -- I still share that data in our datascience Slack workgroup.
