On the left? Yeah! I use VS Code to do just about everything now - bash, Python/Cython, js, and now LaTeX. (It even compiles whenever I save and previews it for me!) I am a huge fan, and even wrote about it a bit:

Thanks! I never thought of using it outside of pure coding but that's really interesting and worth trying out.

It did take me a bit to get everything how I wanted it (I'm still not the most organic at using snippets, and the spellchecker puts typos in with the actual syntax errors) but I'm pretty happy with it. Enough that Overleaf not correctly rendering my dissertation is OK.
