One of the reasons I love teaching is that it is one of the only things that forces me to learn new technologies for fun. This past week it has been Flask, uwsgi, Nginx and the Postgres server.

Postgres is a beast. Not always the fastest but it's generally rock solid. The only issue I have is that the default Debian install doesn't enable data checksums when it creates a cluster so I do this manually. Flask is good but Falcon is worth looking into as well. Nginx is 😎
