I just learned Fortnite reached 200 million users (nearly 80 million monthly active users) in just over a year. It took Twitter around five years to reach 100 million monthly active users. Retweet if, like me, you’d never even heard of Fortnite and aren’t ashamed to admit it.

Have you heard of Overwatch, League of Legends, etc.? It's common for a video game to get super popular very quickly and then slowly die out. Team Fortress 2 (TF2) used to be super popular but still has a decent following.

True for the most games. Especially for egoshooter like Fortnite which have a low skill level and a high turnover. But not true for League so far. Exist about 10 years now and still within first 3 places worldwide.
