Question: Why the term 'Ovens'? Mostly curious because, while it doesn't surprise me that Gab has a bunch of racists using it, it also lacks the slew of normal people sharing recipes that would mitigate hits from racists saying the same sort of stuff on Twitter.

This is a valid point. Originally we were just searching through a lot of random terms and noticed there were a lot of associations leading back to Jewish terms in the data. While Gab is probably not the first place you would think of to share cooking receipts, the data ...

... visuals were still very powerful and I felt it was worth sharing due to the stark contrast in content association between Reddit vs. Gab. If you have ideas on other terms worth investigating, I'd be happy to run other visualizations using those terms.

It's certainly a powerful visual - just a potentially misleading one. I'm not sure aggregating via specific terms is going to contribute much information, I suppose. It's an amusing novelty, to be sure, but the sheer breadth of communities in Reddit would drown out extremists -

making posts about those terms on Reddit, whereas on Gab they'd become more prominent, even though Reddit might have a larger number of extremists/racists/etc. on there. Honestly I'm not sure what terms you -could- use to glean meaningful data from it/compensate for that.
