Three cops were shot during this -- cops trained for this type of situation. Trump's logic or lack thereof is evident again.

So Jason, let me ask you, do you think removing 300 million existing guns (which includes about 10 million AR15’s) from US citizens is more logical than using armed guards? Hmmmm....is it possible that Trump’s logic is based on the current reality?

It's very hard to have a rational conversation / debate about gun laws with some of these people because they always seem to resort to binary thinking. As a former registered Republican turned Democrat, I do believe in the right to own firearms for personal protection, hunting ..

... etc., but I also believe we have a huge problem with our current gun laws. Too many people with mental health issues have the ability to easily obtain guns quickly -- we need to find ways to better restrict access to guns for these type of people.
I don’t dis-agree that crazy people shouldn’t have guns. Problem is that our current laws aren’t being enforced, why would new laws be any different. Case in point is Cruz who was ignored 39 times by Florida officials.

I agree with you there. If current laws aren't being enforced, then more laws won't really help with the current problems we are having related to gun violence. That's something we need to address but that is tied into a host of other problems related to our current GOP leaders.
