I’ve been wanting to do something like this. How are you capturing the webcam frames?

I have a script that runs every five minutes to download images, using the unix command "wget". Another script stitches a .mp4 video from the frames every 30 minutes using ffmpeg.

ffmpeg is awesome once you get over the initial hurdle of all the various options and having it work right.
