I am shocked! Never in a hundred years would I have guessed that
@nytimes has a standards editor! -
See, I'd have guessed that they have a rabid badger locked in an office that *says* "standards editor" on the door, sort of like how they renamed Dean Baquet's desktop Twitter shortcut to "Public Editor," but a person who can write e-mails? Wow!

"I do know that the Times has a well-earned terrible reputation for this kind of thing," [Max Fisher] said, while declining to link to our story. "I've only been here 2.5 years and prior to that was on the wrong side of it many, many times." Did
@Max_Fisher ever do the link?Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Don’t journalists already pat each others backs and hug each other enough already? All I see on twitter are blue check reporters sending each other congratulations for this or that pseudo-scoop or self-hugging themselves (especially Ken Vogel). Basta!

I hope
@nytimes takes the memo to heart. Not citing fundamental initial articles or stories is nothing short of plagiarism.#HonestJournalismThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
