people forget that don norman is an electrical engineer first. can't make design frameworks on top of a hardware/software ecosystem that is quicksand.
things have to work and be scalable first. if you want to refer to his work? refer to the embodied cognition work.

don's whole premise for vr is it's like "discovering fire again" for ref: scott klemmer is the prof who made the well-known stanford hci design course. his student, mike, is the co-founder of instagram. instagram is the pinnacle result of that type of thinking.

the "design of everyday things" truisms do not hold for ar/vr. even don norman and scott klemmer know this. so always surprised when designers try to pigeonhole ar/vr/3d design into that framework.
