Presently LTS is .NET 6 which has a bit different of a startup template so the ConfigureServices section doesn't perfectly map. Can see my interpretation here

This is one of the best end to end auth tutorials for ASP.NET and GitHub that I've gone through. Highly recommend if you're doing a first time auth project.

There's a BIG FEATURE in the #dotnet SDK 8.0 preview 3 that released today - a new, simplified output format for builds! The new design is more consistent and stays out of your project folders, which many people have requested. Read more at the design (github.com/dotnet/designs)...

That is what absolutely terrifies me about writing auth. Lots of tutorials, you can usually get it working with minimal frustration but there aren't as many good tutorials on verifying that you did it correctly and didn't open yourself up to massive vulnerabilities.

Writing auth code is like writing msbuild. I can pretty much always get it to do what I want but I have no idea how to verify that I've done it correctly and without drastic negative consequences

Warning: if you end up playing with this tool know that it works by basically zipping up everything related to a compilation: source, references, analyzers, resources, etc ... Literally everything that goes into your build

This allows customers to create a zip file that is fully xcopyable to a diff machine that can reproduce the underlying build.
> dotnet build -bl Giant.sln
> complog create --projectName Example.csproj msbuild.binlog
Really handy for cutting directly to the problem
