So the top link, ends in &sp=EgIQAQ%253D%253D which means it adds a filter, specifically "type;video". It's the same link as the one Crowder shared. The bottom link is what you get when you search without the filter. The first two videos. right there, are her channel.

Ok, for comparison, I searched "young turls" (incomplete & incorrectly spelled on purpose) and got the channel box with their latest videos, and all the other top suggestions were vids from their channel too, and that's without any filters either. Somehow YT got that right

The filter is the "problem" removing it gets you lauren chen! What are you talking about? YT gets it right both times! That's the point! Steven Crowder, with the link he shared. made it so YT wouldn't get the hits people want! That's what I'm saying!

I guess I wasn't understanding what you were talking about or tracking which link had whatever filter. I only see the beginning of the links which are identical. I didn't follow any links that anyone posted on here except you. All I did was type people's names into YouTube.pic.twitter.com/4MyW854Jjn

yea ok, you can open the links to your browser to see this. It could actually be different on mobile. But basically cowder was using the filtered link to get a specific set of hits. and when you don't use the filter you get a fine set of hits. YT isn't censoring shit.

To test, I typed everyone's names into the search bar on my desktop. Not logged in, you can see the URL, there's no filters applied. I got the channels with latest content only, but none of the other videos suggested are theirs, except for TYT's. That's Steven's point. No videospic.twitter.com/yDLhDopQKY

I followed the link from Steven's tweet regarding
@benshapiro and messed with the filter to see the results. None of Ben's videos showed up from his or from@realDailyWire's channels (1/2)pic.twitter.com/VzI67Xtqd53 replies 0 retweets 2 likes -

Here, I opened the app fresh, not following the link. (search history has been turned off for a while) I typed in
@benshapiro's name and essentially got the same video results as I did from Steven's link. Only the channel wasn't on top in his. (2/2)pic.twitter.com/0uHoaFHT5v2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

Ah, I can answer that one. It’s because YouTube does poorly with spaces. Try “benshapiro” and it works fine.pic.twitter.com/qZsPEZ2VSv

It’s not always consistent, as you can see from below, but I ran into a couple of issues with channels that have spaces in them.pic.twitter.com/ynQHwkRULi

Is this censorship? Highly unlikely, since most of the folks Crowder claimed a search wouldn’t work for worked just fine.

YouTube is only showing their videos when it recognizes and shows the channel. None of the other videos that show in the results are from their channels. THAT is the point. Searching for "turks" though gets you TYT's channel with videos, PLUS 7/10 top results after were TYT vids
