I just want to clarify that Japanese people also judge otakus quite harshly too and I think these people in the picture weren't looking at them in a bad way, but just maybe surprised. So my tweet wasn't against foreigners but rather people who don't get the otaku culture ^^

Honestly I would have been lying there if the character were Kaneki Ken from Tokyo Ghoul or Louise from Zero no Tsukaima. Not to mention I'd do anything Pikachu related too

Otaku culture is really cool and if anyone is an otaku don’t be afraid to embrace the culture! :) I would be lying there if Ruka Urushibara from Stein Gate or Yoko Littner from Gurren Lagann was there!
