You sound in pain when you say it, is it in the sense of having eaten too much?

So お腹がいっぱいです is the formal way of saying “I’m full” and お腹がいっぱい is informal. There seem be another way to say I am full too like まんぷく and おなかがパンパン, but I guess they’re not very common :)

Is there a common way to refer to food in general? 食べ物、ご飯、etc. お腹が空きました。(food)ですか。

ご飯 = meal , 食べ物 = food
