    This is an outrageous stunt. I approve. Portland DA, police chief, mayor are right, legally: our broken 4th Amd doctrine claims we have no reasonable expectation of privacy for our trash. A newspaper picked through the bigshots’ garbage to test the proposition in real life.

    What if the state conspired to illegally search your trash for criminal investigations? Obviously you steal the mayor, DA and police chief’s trash and publish what you find in the paper:

    Wow: thanks to commensal infection with staph bacteria, most people have pre-existing antibodies against commonly-studied Cas9 proteins. This may cause a significant hurdle to using CRISPR in the clinic.

    Keep in mind, these fleets were sufficient to blockade and pillage entire cities, and Zheng Shi commanded *300* ships. She was so powerful she ruled several villages, imposing taxes and the like. When she retired, she opened a gambling house.

    Both were captured and killed by the Royal Navy, and both commanded fleets that were positively puny compared to Zheng Shi: Blackbeard only commanded two ships (Queen Anne's Revenge and Revenge) while Black Bart commanded less than a dozen.
