Women of color are more likely to be low-wage workers. The #RaiseTheWageAct will give 1 in 3 women workers a boost in their paychecks, including 41% black women, & 38% of Latinas, helping them better provide for themselves & their families!
Minimum wage wasn’t suppose to be a living wage. It’s a baseline. Not an endgame. We are going to automation for our business and have to let someone go. This will increase unemployment and hurt women and minorities most.
You should acknowledge that a lot of employees in small businesses will lose their jobs if this happens. Small businesses cannot afford doubling their labor costs. Who are you to decide that employers must hand over their income to others, even when not deserved?
