Congresswoman, I agree--but sanctuary cities are also unconstitutional. Art 1, sec 8 gives Congress exclusive power to make uniform law of naturalization. James Madison was right; you can't have individual states (or cities) deciding who is a citizen; it's a federal matter.
President Trump thinks he can end birthright citizenship unilaterally. He needs to check the Constitution and think again.

Jan, that's funny coming from a Illinois DemocRAT. Since when does Illinois follow any constitution? Isn't it true that the IL constitution says that it must pass a BALANCED budget. Guess what Jan, Illinois hasn't had 1 of those since 2001. Hypocrisy at its finest.
